I’m a freelance writer and editor living near Houston, Texas. I have over 15 years experience writing, editing, and teaching others about writing. I work with clients all over the United States and occasionally with clients in other parts of the world.
I trained to be a journalist then to be an English professor. Along the way, I worked for a college newspaper, a small literary journal, a prestigious scholarly journal, and individual clients. For eight years, my day job was teaching college composition and business writing courses while I freelanced a bit on the side. In 2014, I left teaching and devoted myself to freelance writing and editing. You can view my résumé here.
When I’m not writing or editing, I’m usually trying to expend the abundant energy possessed by one toddler and two Siberian huskies. This means I spend a lot of time at dog parks, near playgrounds, on splash pads, and walking around my neighborhood. When the capricious Texas weather drives us indoors, you can find me curled up with a mug of coffee and a good book.
